Amanda - Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist and Certified Christian Sex Therapist
Hi, We both grew up in and around Atlanta and met in college. We know this may sound crazy but God told me (Andrew) that Amanda was my wife after our first date…I did not tell her for a couple of months. She thought that was a wise move.
Shortly after college, we were wed and enjoyed living in our first midtown apartment. It had a park connected to it and we walked together everyday. Sharing our hopes, dreams and aspirations.
After Amanda received her Masters of Marriage and Family Therapy with a concentration in Christian Sex Therapy, God called me to complete a Masters of Biblical Studies at Fuller Theological Seminary and we packed up everything and moved to Los Angeles, California.

While in CA, Amanda had the opportunity to work under two of the pioneers of Christian Sex Therapy, Dr. Clifford and Joyce Penner. It was also at this time, that the Lord sparked a dream inside of us to minister to a Multi-Cultural, Multi-Generational, and Multi-Economic population. (No idea it would be through social media)
While in LA, we had the opportunity to serve together as a pastor and therapist at the Los Angeles Dream Center, as house parents of a sex-trafficking program. We also got to counsel, teach, and lead groups of men and women in a recovery program. It was an amazing and incredibly eye opening experience; we discovered how much we truly love doing ministry together.
We returned to GA and over the next 10 years had the opportunity to serve churches all over Atlanta working toward the vision of planting a local church in Atlanta.
We were blessed with our greatest joys, two little red-headed princesses. Ariella & Adalee have changed our lives in so many ways and definitely added some more chaos. We are a household of ADHD, fun times!
In 2020 in the middle of the pandemic, we launched Assembly Church Online visioned for Atlanta. Our hearts grew for those in their homes accessible by social. It was a surprise to us when God focused our attention solely on our online ministry, Andrew & Amanda Scott Ministries. We are just beginning to see God unfold his plans for our lives and our ministry. Thank you for joining us on our journey and we pray we can be a blessing to you on yours.
